Synopsis
Xiang Zhen was a famed assassin among the jianghu, his martial arts had reached the state of perfection, and he upheld justic and had a soft side.
He went to rescue Yan Li, who was killed over his lover, and in the night he went to rescue that lover who was being dominated and waiting to be slaughtered. Due to carelessness, Xiang Zhen was poisoned and locked up in the Dragon Kind Dungeon below the lotus pond at Pine Mountain Villa, where he suffered inhuman torture. After escaping, he fought and killed Horned Tiger, Winged Elephant, The Savage, and Swarm of Snakes, and rescued Bao Yahua, Jun Xintian, and others who were imprisoned there.
He made off for the mountains and lay low thre for a time where he encountered a group of people from the “Peerless Sect”, and they became good friends. Peerless Sect had conflict with the Dark Hands gang, and Xiang Zhen generously helped them fight off the Dark Hands at Stele Mountain, but he unfortunately fell into a trap and had to retreat in defeat, then went with Savage Warrior to Niu Family Swamp to recuperate.
A month later, Xiang Zhen returned to Stele Mountain and discreetly made inquiries, and on the road where he helped settle a fight between Jing Ren and Ximen Chaowu. Once that was settled, the two of them were roused by hgis sense of justice and offered their help in punished the Dark Hands. They first made a recon trip to Tiger Hug Manor and broke through many vicious booby traps, but they were not able to free their captive companions.
The sect head of Peerless Sect, Tie Duxing, personally led thousand of men to attack the Dark Hands and their accomplice, The Red Shirts. Xiang Zhen and company were in the vanguard, and made several incursions against the enemy.
As One Wishes Manor’s Black Beard was a local tyrant and was lewd and evil and a backer of the Dark Hands. Xiang Zhen helped Peerless Sect eliminate the fiend and his base of power, and mediated with Tie Duxing so the latter would forgive Kang Yude, who eloped with his daughter, Tie Niangniang and had evoked his wrath. Then with his blade he rescued Mei Rui, but she ended up with a grudge against him.
After a scene of carnage, Xiang Zhen and Jun Xintian cast off societal norms and planned to wed, but because they had not yet taken vengeance on Pine Mountain Villa, they, along with Ximen Chaowu and Bao Yaohua went to get revenge. They got revenge for that time they were locked up in sastisfying fashion, and repaid lady Xi, who had helped him, but he tactfully declined Lady Xi’s affectionate advances…
