Synopsis
Heavenly Kuixing Chou Ren’s martial arts was superb, he was loyal and steadfast, kind and forgiving, and dashing, and very much in love with his wife, Feng Jiaqi. They lived in seclusion at Tranquil Pavilion and enjoyed a carefree, peaceful life.
The “Faithful 8 Society” killed retired official, Feng Zizheng. Qu Wuji tried to stop them, but he was pursued and injured. After being wounded, he was rescued by Chou Ren.
Tu Jicheng led the Faithful 8 in an attack on Chou Ren’s residence. Facing defeat, Tu Jicheng instigated the “Ghost Family Gang” to join him in the assault. Chou Ren and Qu Wuji had to retreat in defeat, and Chou Ren’s beloved wife fell into enemy hands and both her legs were cut off, and then she was sullied even further…
Chou Ren and Qu Wuji went to Dragon-Tiger Mountain Villa to rescue Chou Ren’s wife, but they failed, so they went to Frigid Cry River to ask the “Red & White Way” for help. Along the way, they ran into Chou Ren’s old assassin buddies, Gu Shangcai and Ling Zhong, and they rescued Gu Yingyying and stopped Sun Zhaoyue from running off with someone’s lover.
They got to Frigid Cry River and ran into the “Red & White Way” fighting with the Invincible Society. Chou Ren and company used a series of strategems and feigned surrender to help the “Red & White Way” become victorious.
Soon after, Chou Ren borrowed 50 or 60 men from the “Red & White Way”, and along with Qu Wuji and company, returned to Dragon-Tiger Mountain Villa to get revenge and rescue Chou Ren’s wife. On the way, on the banks of Summer Sun River they had an altercation with a demoness from the “Iron Eagle Sect”.
Chou Ren and company penetrated into Dragon-Tiger Mountain Villa and scouted out where Chou Ren’s wife was being held, and they ran into Gu Yingying and her husband, Cen He. Cen He was the Faithful 8’s highly-paid assassin and he clashed with Chou Ren.
As Chou Ren faced off against Tu Jicheng, Fang Ling, an assassin Ghost Mother Tong Mei hired, saw through Tu Jicheng at the critical moment and realized Tu Jicheng and Tong Mei were treacherous snakes, and she resolutely switched sides and pointed out where Feng Jiaqi was being held…
With the enemies all slain and the wrongs avenged, the humiliated and maimed Feng Jiaqi was reunited with her husband…
