Gong Li takes Li Mo in a hurry to Many Peak Ridge to rescue their good friend He Cang, but they are a step too late and He Cang is killed. From the way he died they can guess that He Cang was assassinated by someone close to him. Before he dies, He Cang manages to dip his toe in his own blood and draw a simple symbol on the ground to hint that his killer was someone from “Gold Oxhead Manor”. Gong Li resolves to get to the bottom of it and get revenge for his friend.

On the road to Gold Oxhead Manor on Drifting Cloud Island they passed by Jade Cauldron Villa, where Gong Li is forced into a martial arts competition to marry into the family. Gong Li rescues Bao Guicai and helps facilitate his marriage with his lover.
